A small, specialist operation, started in the late ‘80s. Will advise clients if a chosen property would not be suitable and aims to match property and requirements/tastes. Building up the coastal side of the business under the Italian Homes programme.
Where
Mainly Venice plus Verona, Siena, Florence and Rome. Also a handful of coastal villas but not inland Tuscany.
Style
In Venice elegant/intriguing apartments, mostly with canal views and/or terraces. Around a quarter offer a dishwasher and/or washing machine. Similar style apartments in the other cities. Coastal villas are larger properties with pools, away from big resorts. They are mostly period properties, including for example one 19th century one on Elba, and a Tuscan wine-producing property not far from the coast. For details see Italian Homes web site.
Season
Year-round in Venice, heating extra. Central heating is available in all Venetian properties. Coastal properties season May to September.
Facilities
60% of properties offer cots.
Extras
Maid service can always be arranged extra though is always included with the larger places. In Venice a private boat transfer can be arranged from the airport. A list of restaurants is available on booking. For special occasions can do flowers and champagne and can arrange catering for dinner parties in apartments. Also in Venice arrange private boat trips round the islands.
Sample Price
A property in Venice sleeping four in two bedrooms with terrace, would be around ?850 for a week in high season. Coastal properties are from £5,000 per week, both prices accommodation only.
