The UK agent has lived in Tuscany for 12 years so knows the area well, as well as the properties and there is the office in Siena for queries on the spot. The programme includes around 75 properties.

Where

In and around San Gimignano and Colle di Val d'Elsa, between Florence and Siena.

Style

Farmhouses, villas and apartments, generally traditional, renovated, standard of d?cor generally good. A handful are in town centres and more than half have a pool.

Season

March to November. Prices include electricity, cooking gas and water but not heating which is to be paid for directly to the owner at the end of the stay.

Facilities

Over half the properties have cots (advised at the time of telephone enquiry) and reports can often organise cots/highchairs for those that do not.

Sample Price

An apartment with shared pool in a restored farmhouse for a week in high season would be £1,160 per week in a property sleeping up to six, accommodation only.
