Location
Cornwall, the county divided into the Atlantic Coast (northeast), the Cornish Riviera (southeast), the West, and the Roseland Peninsula.
Style
Originally all ‘traditional; but now also including modern houses, bungalows and some apartments. They are rated with between one and three smiley faces. In addition offers properties on the St Aubyn estate in west Cornwall which are rated between three and five stars and look particularly attractive. ‘All accommodation is furnished for family usage'. Several properties are on working farms. If booking out of season advice from staff is recommended.
Linen
Not generally provided and if offered usually charged at £8 per person per week for linen and towels. Cot linen is not supplied.
Heating
Generally night storage. Around a quarter of properties offer central heating, generally charged around £20 per week.
Facilities
Around 90% of properties offer a child's cot. A few may have more (see that mentioned under Sample Price).
Extras
All properties have a housekeeper who can advise on local facilities and services.
Short Breaks
Generally only available out of season except at the last minute and never in July or August.
Sample Price
A coastguard's cottage on the Roseland Peninsula sleeping four, complete with high chair and lighweight buggy plus travel cot would cost £240 for a week over the May Bank Holiday.
