Style
From the simple, some very remote (a lighthouse cottage), to a clan chief's castle or Georgian mansion house. Fifteen properties sleep from 8 to 22 people. There are 33 sites with adjoining or nearby houses suitable for larger parties. Only two properties do not take children (because of potential danger).
Linen
Only occasionally included. Available for hire at around £6 per bed, £3 per person for towels.
Heating
Charged by meter reading or included at around 25% of properties.
Facilities
Cots can be hired at £10 per week as can camp beds.
Extras
Meals can be provided at 17 properties, including those on an estate near St Andrews. Babysitting could be arranged at properties in chalet parks. Maid service is available at some of the larger properties at £5 per hour. Most properties offer a selection of games and books and around 15 offer child play areas.
