Child Facilities
Vary from property to property. Available at the Plaza New York and the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald at Edmonton among the city hotels, and of the resort hotels the Scottsdale Princess, the Kea Lani Maui on Maui, in Canada the Fairmont Banff Springs, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello and Fairmont Algonquin in Canada, the Fairmont Glitter Bay in Barbados, Fairmont Southampton Princess in Bermuda and Fairmonts Acapulco Princess and Pierre Marques in Acapulco in Mexico. Some of the above offer supervised children's programme looking at the environment or sea life, some with tuition in ski or golf.
Children get their own step-up check-in area, custom made welcome pack with registration card and complimentary gift, and children's menus offer the likes of pizza and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Some hotels also offer children's activity programmes are for children 6-18 years offering for example cooking with the chefs, taking a nature hike or finishing the day with a fireside story.
Hotels such as the Sky Dome and Chateau Laurier have kids rooms, high chairs, kids menus, babysitting and connecting rooms. The programme also includes special prices for attractions outside the hotel.
The Young Ambassador programme enables children to shop in the hotel using their own ‘credit card'.
