Style

Five star de luxe. The group includes The Oriental in Bangkok, the Mandarin Oriental and the Excelsior in Hong Kong, similar hotels in Jakarta, Macau, Manila, Singapore, KL and Surabaya, and others in the US, including San Francisco, Haawaii and Miami, with plans for new hotels in Washington and New York, plus Tokyo. There are also hotels in Geneva, London (Hyde Park Mandarin Oriental) and Munich. It is indicative of standards that the majority of hotels in the group are members of the Leading Hotels of the World consortium.

Child Facilities

Gifts are provided varying with children's age but say with a soft toy. Baby hampers include nappies, baby shampoo, soap, talcum and lotion. Older children get cookies and milk. Room service will warm and sterilise bottles and prepare fresh pureed vegetables and fruits. Cots are provided and babysitting is available.

Sample Price

In a double at the Hong Kong Mandarin from HK$3,200 per night per room, suites from HK$5,500.

Child Prices

Children up to the age of 12 years can stay in a room with their parents with no extra charge. If two children are taking a room to themselves then it will be the same cost as adults with a HK$200 reduction.
