Where
Founded in Germany and covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America, Asia and Australasia with more than 30 properties in places including Beijing, Berlin, Budapest, Istanbul, Dresden and St Moritz. Eight of these are resorts.
Style
All luxury five-star hotels, more of them in the old Grand Hotel style although there are also modern buildings. All are individually furnished so all the rooms look different. Security is considered a priority, especially for women.
Child Facilities
The resorts welcome families and operate kids clubs with the aim of amusing children as well as keeping them out of trouble. There may also be swimming classes and horse riding. Special activities are charged extra. City hotels are less geared up but all can arrange babysitters on request and the concierge team can help with advice on activities locally with children. Cots, high chairs and children's menus are all provided.

€150 to US$7,500 for a suite.
Child Prices
Vary between hotels but in most up to 12 years extra beds sharing with parents are free and cots are always free. Children's meals are priced accordingly.
