Child Facilities

The group welcomes ‘younger guests' at its resorts and all hotels offer 24-hour babysitting services, cots and high chairs in the guests' room, a children's menu in restaurants and on room service with healthy options plus the likes of burgers.
Ritz Kids programmes are available at resort properties, including outdoor play and indoor activity programmes for children 4-13. All sport activities and arts and crafts are designed to be educational and culturally and regionally specific. In Maui children make traditional leis for example.
The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island in Florida offers a programme for 13-18-year-olds with fishing, sailing, tennis, snorkelling, cooking classes, surfing, diving certification and golf.
Hotels in Boston and Marina del Rey, California offer Chef for the Day programmes for 7-12-year-olds with a tour of the kitchen and pastry shop, menu planning, nutrition awareness, kitchen safety, utensil use and care, making decorative garnishes, recipe preparation, baking and dessert tips. The chefs prepare and eat a three course meal and receive a child-size professional apron and chef's hat.
Programmes cost $40-60 per day.
The P.O.L.O. (Protect Our Little Ones) programme offers first aid kit with children's thermometer, nappy rash ointment, emergency safety card with local emergency phone numbers, water temperature controls, and night lights.
Ritz-Carlton Boston has a children's presidential suite with childproof furniture, play room, cot, toy box and side room for a nanny. Prices range from US$ 425 per room per night plus tax for two adults and two children under 12 sharing a room.
Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong offers a Bath Menu provided by the butler who arrives 15 minutes in advance to make preparations. The baby bath includes baby bubble bath, lotion, talc, oil, shampoo, teddy bear sponge, a keepsake Ritz-Carlton mini terry bathrobe and a keepsake Ritz-Carlton soft toy lion. The package costs HK$499 a head. Children two to six years can also get sponge toys, plastic animals and stick to the wall alphabets. In addition the butler can also deliver a non slip safety mat and bedtime story book and. ‘a glass of warm milk and plate of mini cookies should ensure a peaceful night'.
The Ritz-Carlton Bali offers a Family Fun package including the Kids programme for three children 4-12 throughout the stay, a 50% discount for a second room in the same category with a two-hour babysitting session at some point during the stay, free meals for under 3s in all restaurants, a 50% discount on meals and drinks for children 4-12 except special holiday menus, use of the golf course, billiard and table tennis through the stay, and a POLO (Protect Our Little Ones) kit of night light, tub spout cover, electric outlet plugs, first aid kid and emergency safety car with local emergency numbers, in room juice and chocolate surprise for children on arrival.
In addition some hotels may offer protective netting for balconies, toilet locks, water temperature controls, table top edge protectors, relocation of wires and cords, locking lids for waste cans, and retractable phone cords.
Additional options include a picnic lunch at the resort's private cove from US$19 to 23 per person, guided bike tours through the southern plateau US$40 per family for three hours. Also golf lessons for the family daily at US$40. There is also a children's pool and water slide.
