A company operating since the mid ‘70s, reporting a rate of 65% of clients rebooking. As well as the brochure, further details and photos of the 300-odd properties are available on request. Can also book hotels for use en route.

Where

Brittany, Normandy, Loire, Atlantic Coast, Dordogne, Lot and Lot et Garonne, Languedoc-Roussillon, Tarn, Aveyron & Gers, Provence, Cote d'Azur, Gard, Ardeche and Drome (the Mediterranean coast).

Style

Ranging from villas, farmhouses, period chateaux to the likes of a converted mill. Around a quarter have access to a pool. While properties closer to the coast tend to the more modern, even there there are some old-style, and inland the look is more rustic. A number of properties are available with units sharing a pool, and a handful will sleep more than 10. Linen hire is always possible but reported more expensive if not itemised in a property description (the case in around half the properties).

Season

Generally April to September. If heating is available it will be payable extra.

Facilities

Babysitting is generally available, though generally French-speaking. Around a third of properties offer a Continental cot.

A property in the west Dordogne sleeping four or five with a pool, would cost around £1,000 for the first week high season, £700 for subsequent weeks.
