A small, specialist operation (around 40 properties) with representatives on site to provide help and advice if needed. The London staff know all the properties well can offer advice on routes, ways and means of travelling to this part of France and an information pack built up over the years which also provides ‘a wealth of information on . what to do when you are there.'

Where

Roussillon and the Mediterranean Pyrenees. All within a maximum of two hours' drive of Perpignan where there are daily flights with Ryanair from Stansted. Some are within 30 minutes' drive of the coast, others further inland in less developed countryside, up the valleys of the Agly, the Tet and Tech rivers.

Style

Ranging from ancient stone-walled houses in mountain villages to modern Mediterranean villas with pools nearer to the sea. Around 90% of the remainder have a washing machine, around 20% a dishwasher and the same a pool. Linen is included at around a quarter of properties, or hireable at the rest.

Season

Year round, with about 25% of properties set up for winter lets, a few with log fires.

Facilities

Cots, high chairs, and playpens can be hired at ‘most' properties. No prices are available.

Extras

Extra maid service may be available at some properties. Prices vary.

Sample Price

A property sleeping four in the foothills with shared pool would be £525 per week in peak season. Can also book Channel crossings, car hire and en route accommodation at tested farmhouse b&bs or small hotels, for a booking fee of £25.
