Specialists in luxury chalet holidays to Meribel and Mottaret, focusing on personalised service with one member of staff to three guests, and particularly priding themselves on their food, only employing highly experienced chefs, catering for children daily, adults all but one evening, when a babysitter is provided.

Childcare

Offers that supplied by Kids Etcetera (http:// kidsetc) run by qualified nanny Shirley O'Neill who started in Meribel in 1990. This can be in the form of a private nanny in your chalet or in her play group at a chalet in Meribel Les Allues which organises age appropriate activities including outdoor excursions (weather permitting) operating six days a week (not Saturdays) 9am to 5pm. A collection and drop-off service can be provided, on request, either from pick-up points throughout the Meribel Valley, La Tania or from Ski Schools. Full days are €72, half days €40, lunch €5 and a pick-up and drop-off service €10.
A private nanny service with care in the client's chalet or apartment is also available with hours arranged to suit individual family requirements and are normally booked on a weekly basis. Children are cared for in the comfort of your chalet or apartment. The nanny supplies toys, games, books etc who arranges age-appropriate activities. A collection and drop-off service can be provided, on request, for children attending ski school or for meeting Mum and Dad away from your holiday accommodation. Prices are €124 for a full day for one or two children €132 for three children, and €145 for four. The ratios above apply so you may need to employ more than one nanny.
Alternatives suggested are "Les P'tits Loups" kindergartens in Mottaret and M?ribel for children 3 to 5, open between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. daily. The playgrounds are equipped with inflatable characters and ski tows and towards the middle of the week children start to learn the rudiments of skiing. For bad weather there is a games and rest area indoors. The Club Saturnin in M?ribel can also look after children aged 18 months to 3 years.

No. Helps book with one of the local ski schools which offers lessons from 4 years. Particularly recommends the New Generation (New Generation) and Magic in Motion (magicinmotion) ski schools.

Can be arranged through Kids Etcetera at €17 per hour.

Children's high teas can be arranged or if you prefer to eat together the chefs will tailor the menus to suit.
Cots, high chairs, sledges and a small selection of games, toys and children's videos are available in each chalet. The operator will also buy nappies and baby food, and hire pushchairs if wished.
A chauffeur-driven minibus service is available throughout the day and evening.
Nappy Packs containing items such as nappies, wipes, cotton wool, creams etc) and food packs containing a selection of jar foods, milk formulas and juices, together with bottles and feeder cups) are available to purchase. These can be ordered in advance (recommended) or with one or two day's notice while in Meribel.

Adult Guide Price

For a week in high season from £575 to £1,027 for February half-term. Prices include unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks and mixers but flights and transfers are extra. Non-skiing nannies or grannies qualify for a 50% discount.

Child Offers

There are discounts of 15% for under 12s and under 3s are £50 including a cot in the parents room. Extra beds in a room are 75% of the full price.
