Considered experts in holidays for well-heeled families, standards are not as luxurious as with some of the other operators listed here, if only because of the larger numbers hosted. Accommodation is in chalet hotels in Les Deux Alpes, La Plagne, Val d'Isere, Meribel, Meribel Mottaret, Courchevel, St Anton, Coutmayeur. All chalet hotels now offer an a la carte menu, apart from arrival night which is chef's buffet.

Childcare

Puffins Nursery 4 - 12 months, with toys and quiet area and wherever possible each child cared for by the same nanny during the stay. £230 per child for six days.
Penguin creche 13 months to 4 years, aims to keep children alert and interested with activities like action story-telling, walks into town for hot chocolate, painting, games, video cartoons, and time outdoors. Afternoon rest routines are maintained. £230 per child for six days.
Polar Bear Childminding Club Childminding Club for 4-12-year-old skiers and 5 to 12-year-old non-skiers. If skiing nannies will escort children to school, back for lunch and afternoon care, or again to and from skiing if skiing all day. £145 per child for six days.
9am to 5pm daily except Sunday.

Exclusive child ski lessons in English

Mark Warner have teamed up with local ski schools in four of they resorts to provide exclusive instruction for children. The service is provided by Oxygene in Val d'Isere and La Plagne, Snow Systems in Meribel Motttare and the Ecole du Ski Francais in Les Deux Alpes, All the schools provide the option of morning or full day lessons. The English-speaking instructors visit your chalet hotel on the night you arrive to discuss which class level would best suit your child. All the children are escorted to and from ski school by playleaders if you book the Polar Bear childminding service.
For children aged 3-4, who are too young to on on the piste Oxygene runs the Snowman Class in a snow-playground under the guidance of a sympathetic instructor. Mark Warner can also pre-book full day children's ski classes in Courchevel 1850 with Magic in Motion and St Anton with Ski Schule Arlberg.

Babysitting

Baby listening free 7.30pm to 11pm ex Sundays. On dining out evening nannies provide a child re-settling service to 1am. Additional babysitting can be arranged at £5 per hour, payable in local currency, subject to nanny availability. Cot linen is supplied.

Other

5pm high tea. Parents of babies can provide food or meals are pureed on request.

Three-star rated Chalet Val d'Isere around £1,269, including half board, afternoon tea, wine and ski hosting.
