A big ski specialist with a brochure highlighting the most suitable resorts for both pre-skiing and ski age children. Features 60-plus resorts with options in the USA, Canada, Andorra, Austria, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Romania and Bulgaria. Within Neison chalets a family or group with children must book the whole chalet, in order to avoid mixing different holiday styles. Neilson hotels and lodges however particularly welcome children of all ages throughout the season. Hotels offer specific facilities for children throughout the season, including the clubs listed below. Lodges might not have the same level of facilities. They are similar to chalets in style but larger and with more guests. Some resorts are highlighted as suitable for families with pre-skiing children and some for those with children already skiing.

All chalets are non-smoking and guests are asked to step outside if they wish to indulge.

At the four Neilson Snowbusters Club properties though children staying elsewhere in the resorts may also use the facilities.

Childcare

>Snowman Club for children 2-5 years operate in a resort each in France, Austria, Norway and Sweden with six days of care 9am to 4.30pm with lunch, snacks and drinks included, or half days to 12.15pm or from 1.15pm for the afternoon.
Snowbusters for skiing children 5-11 years in the same resorts, including a drop off and pick-up service, lunch if required and afternoon activities if the child is not in ski school. Also apr?s ski care 4.30 to 6.30 two afternoons a week. The price of £45 includes free use of a ski helmet for a week.
A Pyjama Club is available in two Neilson hotels, for children 5-11 years two evenings a week between 7 and 9.30pm.
Snowman Club costs £155 per child for six full days in high season and Snowbusters £150. It is pointed out that places are strictly limited.

Exclusive child ski lessons in English

No, though the operator only uses English-speaking ski schools, where the instructors are judged good at teaching children.

Children's ski equipment available to rent.
Toyboxes with a selection of toys are available to hire in several resorts. This must be booked and will be placed in the room for arrival.

Adult guide price

At Flaine in a three-star property recommended for both pre ski and ski kids, £925 for half board in peak season, hotel-run children's club (4-12 years) and lift pass included.

Child Offers

Discounts available throughout the season for two children sharing with two full fare paying passengers, in Europe 25% in all Neilson Chalets, 20% in Neilson lodges, and 15% in apartments. A handful of hotels offer 30% discount and others 25%
For single parents there is a discount of 10% on a child sharing a twin room with one adult throughout the season.
There are a number of kids ski free resort offers.
