NOTE The following details have note been confirmed by Coombe Mill.

Style

Accommodation is in country cottages in a tiny hamlet, or log-clad riverside cabins on a 30-acre estate on either side of the river Camel (a salmon river for those who want to fish). The valley is a designated Area of Outstanding natural Beauty and Area of Special Scientific Interest because home to so many rare butterflies, moths, birds and plants. The buildings themselves, though not high fashion in terms of d?cor but are comfortable, two of them receiving the highest tourist board rating for self-catering properties. Electricity is charged by pre-payment meters though in winter logs and storage heaters are free in cottages and an initial supply of electricity in the cabins.

For Children

Children and pets are “most welcome”. The centre can provide cots, high chairs, fireguards and stairgates. Babysitting is planned. There are piglets, ducklings, goats and donkeys to feed (with a daily feed run by trailer) plus a stag and zebu, and grounds for children to roam. There is also a ‘safe children's play area'.

Extras

There are two big barbecues with free fuel, plus a selection of pot meals available, as well as basic groceries from reception. Those properties without their own can use a central laundry.

Sample Price

For a property sleeping four for a week over the May Bank Holiday, £450.
