Style

Ten old stone Lake District buildings converted to modern standards (some varnished pine) and sleeping between two (some with cot) and 14.

For Children

A box of toys and board games can be order to be waiting on arrival. Each cottage also has a selection of family games including Monopoly, Scrabble and Dominos. The Games Room at Monkhouse Hill has full size table tennis, pool and table football tables - all free of charge.
Also on site is an adventure playground for children 2-10 years with swings, tower, rope frame, slide, tunnel, rope climbing board and suspension bridge. The playground is intended for children aged from about 2 to 10.
Equipment for a selection of outdoor games, including boules, cricket, badminton and croquet, is available for use on the enclosed 2 acres of paddock grass.
A range of videos, including for children, are provided in the cottages,t he video to be ordered in advance.
Clients can use the North Lakes Spa free of charge, with facilities including swimming, paddling pool and a play room with computer games and air hockey.
Cots (with bedding), high chairs and stairgates can be ordered to be set up for arrival.

Extras

The main facilities on the site are for children but there are directions for a host of activities from fell walking and riding to ballooning and fishing.
