Covering East and Southern Africa as well as Indian Ocean Islands. Options in Africa include walking, water safaris, riding and climbing. Accommodation can be in lodges and bush homes, permanent tented camps, mobile tented camps, fly camps and along the coast by boat. As specialists in Africa and able to plan safaris for families.

Recommendations

Namibia for its desert, space and remoteness, Kenya with a good guide to avoid the hordes of people but find the herds of animals, Zambia as good for walking safaris and Tanzania for the migration. In Kenya would suggest a week on safari and a week on the coast in Kenya, possibly at Lamu, or in the Seychelles. Particularly highlights the owner managed camps/bush houses because they are small and a family can take over the whole thing.

Sample Price

Around £3,800 per person for the safari/beach option, possibly £400 less for children under 12 because of discounts on accommodation, but points out that the need for private game drives, so that you can cut them short when required, will push the price up again. Botswana would be more expensive.
