Using specially equipped Land Rovers operates private, guided mobile safaris in the Okavango Delta and Kalahari. For the more adventurous there are self-drive safaris to Namibia. Other options are Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Malawi and The Seychelles and Mauritius. Can also offer canoe trails, white water rafting, walking rails and horse safaris.

Recommendations

Guided mobile safaris as ideal for families. Suggests Namibia in particular because the camps are fenced and generally have pools, which helps keep children happy; South Africa based at guesthouses or lodges with a pool rather than camping independently. For a cheaper option suggests self-catering chalets in the national parks. In Tanzania there are reported often triple rooms or a nice option might be a houseboat on lake Kariba. For ready-made packages for children suggests Kenya. In Botswana reports can adapt level of staffing to suit a family and feels that guides, with wives running the camp and catering, make excellent hosts.

Sample Price

A self-drive trip to Namibia is from £1,750 per week for a family of four, excluding international flights. There is a 50% discount for under 12s.
