Specialist Reports Activity Holidays Diving Holidays Diving Operators Pearls of the Ocean
An extended programme for 2002, (a sister operation which offers activity holidays across the Far East). The idea is to offer a range of diving requirements at a range of prices. WhereMalaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Buinea, Oman, Tanzania, Bermuda, Turks & Caicos, Cayman Islands, Maldives and Lakshadweep. RecommendationsIn Malaysia Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian because there is plenty for children if they don't dive, or if they do it's a good place to learn, with good coral and fish life. Manado in Indonesia is similar. In Thailand suggests the Pearl Village or for tailormade visitors has further options not included in the brochure, such as Koh Tao on the east coast. The Philippines is also reported excellent and well set up, though not terribly popular. Puerto Galera is somewhere with plenty to do with a well run British dive centre which focuses on small numbers. Childcare could be laid on at both Redang and Manado. Sample PriceIn Pulau Redang in Malaysia seven nights after 16th August the adult price is £839 each including flights, transfers and seven nights room only. Children in their own room would be £586 for two sharing, inter-connecting available. Pulau Perhentian would probably cost slightly less. |
