Holidays by Destination Australasia Australia What to Do and Where to Go

There is so much to see and do in Australia that a report of this kind can do little more than offer the most limited of outlines. When you have a better idea of what might attract you, you will need to research further.

While operators may try to sell you pre-booked tours, these are only useful if you wouldn't be able to organise it on the spot. Longer and Outback trips are worth pre-booking, but for more accessible options, think about DIY where suitable, or booking when you get there to suit your state of jetlag.

For more on attractions mentioned here, and others, see Travel Down Under http://www.traveldownunder.com.au which describes itself as Australia's largest travel directory or Total Travel http://www.totaltravel.com which describes itself as Australia's biggest travel directory.
