Style

Luggage transfer, emergency recovery service, some groups but usually independent. Distances are 20-30 miles per day. Routes follow quiet country lanes and traffic-free cycle paths and will recommend the most suitable for your family's abilities. One option is the Danube Cycle Trail.

Accommodation

Generally b&bs in UK, though can book hotels on request. In Europe, hotels only.

Age accepted

From 9 months in child seat or whenever can cycle the distance themselves.

Bikes

Claude Butler or similar, 18-24 gear hybrid bikes. Most bikes provided with helmet, pannier bag, pump, water bottle, toolkit and lock. In Britain offers a trailer bike for those old enough, then we can provide a bicycle for those 4 feet 6 inches and above (137 cms). No child seats but report customers generally bring their own plus bike if that is required. On European holidays arrangements are similar.

Where

Coast to Coast, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Slovenia and Croatia.

March to October

Sample Price

Three nights in the Yorkshire Dales are £120 per adult with hotels, £170 with b&bs; a week from £425 b&b, £520 with hotels. A 20% reduction on price if children under 16 sharing with parents. Also discounts if bring own bike. Bear in mind that travel to your first night's accommodation is not included in the holiday (Europe).
