A 200-year-old Lake District house with full board accommodation plus a self-catering youth centre and 30-acre estate. The hall is staffed by a resident Christian community. ‘Owned by the Church of England Diocese of Carlisle, the Hall exists both to serve the parishes of Carlisle Diocese and also to welcome groups of many different kinds for a wide variety of purposes. We are also happy to accommodate individuals and families for study, retreat, rest or holiday.' Sometimes run family weeks, for example mid August with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children and families arranged.

For the Family Week charge for half board is £180 for adults and £120 for secondary school children and £90 for primary school children. Pre-schoolers are free.
