Trips to Swedish Lapland a ninety minute flight north of Stockholm in the northern mountains with options like ice-climbing, ice fishing, Sami (Lapp) culture tours, cross country skiing and more. At Kiruna there is a week long festival with a snow sculpture contest, reindeer and dog sled races, music and drama performances.
Swedish adventure under the Northern Lights includes stays at the Ice Hotel, in Jukkasj?rvi, Sweden, where 'Aurora Houses' have been constructed close to the hotel with a skylight over the bed for a winter view of the lights. You can even rent a 'mini call' alarm, to wake you in the night when the Northern Lights appear. All cabins are comfortably furnished and include a sitting room with TV.
