Holidays by Destination North America USA Florida Eating

There are plenty of fast food joints, most trying to undercut each other. Early bird specials means a few dollars off 5pm-7pm, useful with children. There is also ample buffet food at Sunday brunches. Quality of the raw ingredients may be uninspired but it makes for cheap, especially as the big portions can be shared (ask for an extra plate and remember to tip).

All but the smartest restaurants will offer child menus and generally crayons, paper etc. This makes self-catering less of a chore and explains why accommodation never includes board.

As well as US standard fare there is Latin American, Chinese and Thai. Seafood is big, particularly on the Keys. Fishcamps by the water are particularly cheap. An alternative is a cooked meal from a supermarket deli.
