Holidays by Destination Europe Spain Mallorca Tour Operators

Packages are the easiest and often the cheapest way of visiting Mallorca, though low prices often indicate a mass market product. The following focuses mainly on specialists, some of whom allow you to book flights separately as this may help keep prices down, while still staying at more interesting accommodation.

Traditionally the top hotels (Scotts and La Residencia for example) do not want children under the age of 10 or 12 and smarter hotels often allow only one extra bed in the room, although a cot would usually be allowed in addition to this. However, as with other parts of Europe, things are changing and the locals, even in smarter hotels are generally more family friendly than some of the British operators admit. Even La Residencia does allow in fact allow children for six weeks in the summer.

IN terms of self-catering, although there are the usual apartments and residences being developed behind the main resorts, there are also more interesting rural options, and for those on a large budget some very attractive options on the coast, for example around Porto Colon, or in the west, for example around and between Banyalbufar and Deia. In addition to options from the following, see the Self-Catering Spain and Portugal and Self-Catering Multi-Destination reports.
