Standard buses offer excellent views of the sights, half price for under 10s, routes 63, 75 and 83 particularly recommended. Line 6 offers views of the Eiffel tower and 24, 69 and 72 link the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. 29 and 56 have an open deck at the back. A Guide Paris Bus available from the tourist office, would be useful.
The Metro is efficient but notably difficult with a buggy. Children under 4 are free on public transport, and to 10 years half price (F26 for a carnet of 10 tickets). Note that rush hours on weekdays are probably best avoided.
In taxis under 10s count as only half a passenger towards the maximum of three, occasionally four.
Paris Bus offers a circular tour every 15 minutes where you can get on and off at nine stops. Tickets bought from the driver are F125 per adult, F60 for children over 4 and are valid for two days. Total tour 2h 15m. |
