Staff Checks and Qualifications

All police checked and group leaders need childcare experience, instructors relevant activity qualifications. Also in-house staff training programme and regular assessments.

Size of Centre

Largest 240 acres, always aiming for most activities to be on site, with water-based eg canoeing, sometimes off site.

Supervision

24-hour. Only time not next to a member of staff is in the dormitories. Where children in tents or caravans provides night security patrol. Night duty staff sleep in duty rooms nearby.

Activities

A range of multi-activity options, some themed eg Indiana Jones, Robin Hood or some drama and theatre, or teaching driving skills, fishing, tennis, Cybersurf information technology, personal development skills, pony trekking and golf (at Ross on Wye).

On Site Facilities

Assault course, climbing wallks, in and outdoor sports area, arial wires, swimming pool, etc.

Specialist Courses

A number of courses specialise in one subject. At French centres French language is an option.
