Staff Checks and Qualifications

Police checks, most staff recruited in universities. Qualified in any activities they teach and reports that if required will be sent for extra training. Also pastoral staff who take children to activities, to meals, etc. There are security checks on anyone entering the site and very reluctant to have unknown adults.

Varied but with some space.

Supervision

Full-time, security considered vital.

Activities

Options changed most years to keep interest. Multi-activity with for example abseiling, go-karting etc, also, video-making, mountain biking, circus school, water sports, motor sports, in some places extras like horse riding, stage and screen courses.

On Site Facilities

Climbing walls, in and outdoor sports areas, on Isle of Wight assault course, and water for sports.

Specialist Courses

These change from year to year but may cover sports, watersports, something quirky (wizards and witches for example, or special agent), plus something for the starstruck.
The House is exclusively for 15-17 years in North Norfolk with a wider range of activities from net cafes to high adrenalin sports, multi-media music making, to masterchef cookery, plus late breakfasts for those who party hard. A House master ensures things don't get out of hand and House Reps ensure everyone has fun, while subscribing to a code of mutual respect.
