Style
Independent cycling holidays from hotel to hotel with luggage transported, detailed itinerary with route notes and places of interest, plus road map. Cycling is along quiet lanes and minor roads, the majority of routes being accessible to all occasional cyclists. There are two-night stays at the majority of the hotels and a choice of routes of varying lengths each day. Also organises holidays with a variety of activities particularly for families

Bikes
Minimum 18-gear touring bikes with straight handles. Smaller bikes are available for children. Bikes are provided with panniers, repair kit, pump, lock ansd waterproof map case.
Where
Italy, France, Portugal, Slovenia, Austria and Spain. The Catalan coast is recommended because you can spend time by the sea, though the easiest cycling is in the Loire, where the terrain is flat and there are plenty of sightseeing stops.
Dates
March to October.
Sample Price
Six nights in the Loire in high season, inclusive of breakfast and dinners, is £722 per person by rail, £623 self-drive.
