This is part of America increasingly geared to having straightforward fun, and that means that it should cater to kids at least as well as adults.

In many hotels and of course at tourist attractions.

Baby Changing Facilities

Not as widespread as might hope but often in shopping malls. “Diaper decks” are prevalent, for example in McDonalds.

Buggies

Known as strollers, should be fine in most public areas. Rentable, eg from Disney.

Breastfeeding

Not as promoted as in the UK. The less traditional areas may be OK with it but nowhere too rural or glitzy.

Babysitting

Some hotels, notably the Disney one, also offer babysitting.

All sitters are supplied with books, toys and games and will accompany children to attractions in the area. 24 hours' notice of booking is recommended and ther is a four hour minimum booking. Cost is $9 per hour for one child, $1 extra for each additional child, maximum four per family. Ther is a $5 transport fee per assignment and $1 for times before 8am and after 9pm.

All About Kids +1 (407) 812 9300 http://www.All-About-Kids.com offers babysitting at $9 per hour per child, each additional child $1 per hour, plus a transport fee of $6 per visit and an extra $2 per hour for bookings starting 9pm or later. Bookings made at leass than two hours notice are charged a further $2 per hour. A pager for parents is available at $5 per visit. Minimum bookings of four hours.

Baby Stuff

Bought in supermarkets (many open 24 hours). Pampers and Huggies for “diapers”, formula including 4oz readymade bottles but different brands from the UK.
All About Kids can hire equipment from car safety seats at $25 per week through to bottle warmers and including items like buggies (strollers) back carriers, cots (cribs) and more. Delivery can be in two hours.
