Europe Italy Sicily Getting There Ryanair operates to Palermo from Stansted, BA to Catania from Gatwick, Air Malta from Gatwick to Catania. Alitalia flies to Palermo and Catania, but via Rome or Milan.
Direct charter flights by JMC, British Midland and Monarch operate weekly (/Fridays or Saturdays) from London to Palermo or Catania April to September but generally at inconvenient times.
