Also, in the malaria-free Waterberg area of the Northern Province, Entabeni Game Reserve where there is a moderate climate, child friendly facilities and excellent game viewing. Entabeni Game Reserve's three lodges, Lakeside, Ravineside and Wildside, welcome children of all ages and offer various facilities including specially arranged children's game drives, available on request, tailored to allow for shorter attention spans. The Jungly Gym at Ravineside Lodge is a place to burn off any excess energy on the climbing structure and trampoline before cooling off in the pool. Quiet time can be spent watching the lodges' collection of children's videos including a selection of popular Disney classics such as the Jungle Book. Entabeni's babysitting service means parents can spend time away from the children to enjoy game drives or an evening meal. The service is available on request at 15 Rand (approx £1.30) per hour.

Sample Price

A Family Special of two weeks self-drive might be around £4,400 for two adults and two under 12s sharing. A seven night break to Entabeni would be from £3,500 for a family of four (children around half the adult price) including flights, road transfer to Entabeni (2.5 hours) and five nights full board accommodation at Lakeside Lodge.
