The UK's largest practical conservation charity also organises conservation holidays. The work is fairly basic - working in teams of four to 12 people on footpaths, clearing scrub and woodland, working on hedges, clearing ponds and dry stone walling. There is a lower age limit of 16 but the organisation suggests contacting a local branch about weekend projects which would be a good starting point. The holidays are organised in the UK, Norway, Hungary, Romania, Iceland, the USA, Canada, Australia, Turkey and Japan.
