Practicalities Getting There Coach If You Have To

  • If you have to do more than a transfer by coach from airport to resort, think about doing so at night when the children may sleep.

  • Rest stops are pretty curtailed and unlikely to suit children who may have a real need to stretch their legs. Make the most of them when you get them.

  • If motion sickness is a problem arrive early to get seats in the middle of the vehicle rather than the back over the wheels though at the front offers a better view of the road and more leg room.

  • Luggage is almost invariably stored under the vehicle, making it inaccessible during the journey. You therefore need on board luggage in much the same way as on board and aeroplane.

  • Ideally go for a luxury option with video and on board lavatories.
