Flight time from London is around 1 1/2 hours.

Switzerland operates a forwarding service for luggage on any inbound flight. Luggage can be sent to any specified railway station in the country, avoiding you having to carry it with you. The cost is around SF20 per piece of luggage, which will need a customs label, available on payment from Swissair, regardless of who you are flying with. The luggage can generally be picked up between three and seven hours after landing in Switzerland. You should however check that your chosen station will still be open when you arrive to collect the luggage.

Outbound flights from Zurich or Geneva can accept luggage checked in at more than 100 Swiss train stations no more than 24 hours before the flight. A complete check in is available at around 35 stations if you have a Swiss Travel System ticket. All items need to be presented for all persons travelling. However, this service is not available with certain carriers including EasyJet and all American carriers.
