Holidays by Destination Europe Denmark Copenhagen Places to Eat

You'll see plenty of cafes and eating places which will be fine with children. The following are not all central but are particularly helpful. Cafes at attractions can also be good, notably Rosenborg Slot with grass to run around. Early evening meals (even afternoon) seem a norm. There may be smoking.
Base Camp Holmen 12 Holmenvej (Bygning 148) tel: 40 63 03 10 A barn of a warehouse, close to Christiniana (bus 8 from the centre) offers ample space for children to run and no need to worry about noise.
Bonobo (Monkey Museum) 44 Store Kongensgade tel: 33 91 65 00 Near the royal palace, a fun restaurant.
Valhal (Viking restaurant) tel: 33 12 12 14 Fregatten Sct Georg III (a frigate) tel: 33 15 92 04. The two obvious restaurant options for children in the Tivoli Gardens although there are plenty of self-service alternatives.
Amokka Osterbro (Coffee-House/Restaurant/Shop) 38-40 Dag Hammerskjolds Alle tel: 35 25 35 354. A bit of a way out (bus 6 from the centre) but buggies cluster outside.
Peder Oxe 11 Grabrodre Torv tel: 33 11 00 77 Salad bar and decent food plus crayons and drawing book provided. Also outside tables on attractive pedestrainised square.
Langelinie Pavillionen tel: 33 12 12 14 Just up from the Little Mermaid. |
