Getting There

Holidays by Destination Europe Italy Tuscany and Umbria Getting There

Although there is a small airport at Florence, 15 minutes by bus from the centre, operated to by Air UK from Stansted and Meridiana from Gatwick, most flights to Tuscany arrive at Pisa.

If travelling to the south of the region Rome is an alternative but not particularly convenient arrival point.

If you wish to use your own car motor rail from Calais will get you as far as Nice. (See Getting There - Car in Practicalities.)
