Getting There |
Holidays by Destination Asia Hong Kong Getting There You will almost certainly be flying, arriving at the new airport Chek Lap Kok, also known as Kong Kong International Airport, created on landfill next to Launtau island to the west of Hong Kong itself. This means you miss out on the old arrival past locals' living room windows but have a much safer touchdown. The transfer to the centre is longer - 34km - but it's swift, and vital if you want to see anything of the real Hong Kong. |
