Style‘We prefer not to offer ‘purpose-built' holidays homes,' says the brochure, providing instead, ‘holiday properties of character away from the busy holiday resorts. Many properties are the owner's own home and concessions may have to be made for the foibles of older properties in the countryside, for personal taste and the local lifestyle.' That is the beds may not be of the width you are used to, access road untarmacked, and electric kettles rare but in these cases there will be more character than in purpose built properties for the UK market.. There are rustic village houses, wooden cabanas and stone-built farmhouses, though generally modern Spanish (where decor might appear old-fashioned to British eyes in some cases). Around half have a pool. Those on the Algarve tend to be more international purpose-built in style. There are properties large enough to sleep up to 12.
