Location

The estate of Cawdor in Scotland five miles from the beach at Nairn, east of Inverness.

Style

On the estate of 50sq miles which has been in the possession of the Thanes of Cawdor (as mentioned in Macbeth) for 600 years. The recently renovated cottages sleep two, four and six and are attractive and comfortable without too many frills and furbelows. They have large enclosed gardens with furniture and barbecue. There are also colour TVs and video, radio/cassette players, shower, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwashers, and washing machines.

Provided, along with towels.

Heating

Electricity, logs for open fires and central heating is included.

Facilities

Cots and high chairs are available on request. Babysitting can be arranged.

Yes, minimum of three nights.

Extra

A welcome hamper is provided on arrival. A shopping collection and delivery service is available at £50. There are frozen home cooked foods available, plus seasonal estate products such as roe deer, pigeon, rabbit and partridge. Maid service can be arranged. Fishing, rough shooting, horse riding, roe stalking, clay pigeon shooting, off road mountain biking, guided walks and excursions to local historical sites can be organised with prior notice. Bicycles are available for e hire and beauty treatments can be arranged. Cawdor Castle itself is open to visitors may to October. There is access to lake and river as well as nearby seaside bathing.
