Specialist Reports Just For Families With Specialist Childcare With Extra Childcare 360 Sun and Ski Set up in the same spirit as Ski Jack (formerly Ski Jacques), also in a chalet, based in Les Carroz d'Arache, 40 minutes from Geneva on the road to Chamonix. Run by a family with two small children (ages 4 and 6) ,the idea is to provide the sort of service the owners themselves appreciate. ActivitiesNothing is arranged by the chalet itself but the resort offers walking, bike trails, mountain hiking, caving, and lakes Geneva and Passy with sailing and swimming. AgesNewborn upwards. AccommodationFour decently sized bedrooms with twin or double bed plus bunk beds, suitable for two to three families. There are limited rooms with en suite bathrooms but there should be plenty of hot water. ChildcareFull or half days, from newborn upwards, for as many days as wished, bookable in advance, or bookable by the hour in resort, to allow parents to change plans for example depending on the weather. The charge is £60 for six half days per child, or £100 for six full days, including lunch. Hourly rates, subject to availability, are £5 per child.
ExtrasThe chalet has been made safe for children, is equipped with baby equipment such as sterilisers and listeners, and has a range of entertainment options including videos, toys, sledges and books.
Sample Price£360 per adult per week, accommodation and half board. Travel there would be either by self-drive or flight to Geneva in which case a transfer can be arranged at £45 return per adult, children free. Alternatively the nearby stations of St Gervais le Fayet or Cluses are both on the TGV system, easily reached from Paris, with transfers available at £35 from St Gervais or £20 from Cluses.
