Specialist Reports Holiday by Accommodation Holiday Villages Pointers
- Many parents report that, largely because of the fabricated environment of these villages, particularly in the UK the minimum three-day booking is just enough and more would be too much.
- Babysitting may be available. Standards, however, vary.
- If there are restrictions on cars, single parents in particular might like to ask for a property near the car park unless you have children old enough to help unload and reload.
- Note that in high season, ie the school holidays when most families are likely to go, free facilities are in such demand that they are spread very thin.
- Apart from the swimming, many activities must be paid for extra. Given that the basic holiday is seldom cheap, this is worth bearing in mind.
- While villages almost always see plenty of families, on the Continent these may not be English-speaking. This might however be good for your children's practice of foreign languages.
