Recommendations

Childcare is available, provided by the resort, not Divequest so carers will be local girls, not British nannies. The care is paid for locally. Recommends principally Walkers Cay in the Bahamas, but also Tobago, Bonaire, many of the southeast Asia destinations (generally island resorts), Yap (in the Pacific), and Sea of Cortez, Baja California on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, reported to offer excellent childcare facilities.
For teenagers interested in snorkelling or diving suggests starting a course in the UK and particularly recommends Walkers Cay as very friendly, and very safe (there are no roads) with a close community (no clubbing or discos), popular with families because the diving is easy, shark diving is exciting but safe and Divequest can help teens meet other teens.

Sample Price

For Walker's Cay seven nights would be £967 including diving, £782 non diving, including flights from Fort Lauderdale, seven nights' half board on a twin share basis, six days of diving, typically three boat dives daily, at least one shark dive per stay, often two or more if staying a full week. International flights in the summer school holidays £603 and a night in Fort Lauderdale is £49 per person per room at the Waterfront Inns Beach Resort. Non diving children would go at the non diver price and under 12s would get a reduction on the flight price.
