Style

A chain of 21 four and five-star hotels, 10 with championship golf courses. Associate hotels have a similar profile but are independently owned, though marketed together with the others. A further 14 properties are designated Village Leisure hotels offering in addition to the hotel, extensive health and fitness facilities. The aim of the group is to target middle and upper market customers for business and leisure.
A Leisure Breaks brochure offers breaks including activities like falconry and quad biking, golf and spa breaks. Golf is a particularly important element at properties which frequently host tournaments, in 2002 the Ryder Cup.
Self-catering lodges are also available at De Vere Belton Woods, De Vere Slaley Hall and De Vere Cameron House.

Child Facilities

All the hotels welcome children but designated as particularly family-friendly and offering family breaks are De Vere Cameron House on Loch Lomond, De Vere Slaley Hall in Northumberland, De Vere Daresbury Park in Cheshire, De Vere St David's Park Hotel and Golf Club, Belton Woods in Lincolnshire, De Vere Dunston Hall in Norfolk, De Vere Bellhouse in Buckinghamshire, the De Vere Grand in Brighton, and De Vere The Dormy near Bournemouth. Facilities vary but Cameron House for example runs The Cammie Club during main school holidays for 6-11 years with activities ranging from face painting to swimming games and outdoor adventure trails and beach parties. There are also funday Sundays with games, face painting and bouncy castle, Babysitting and cr?che services available on request. (for parents there's clay pigeon shooting, archery and falconry plus a Michelin-starred restaurant).
The De Vere Belfry provides tuition for children at the golf centre with competitions, prizes and clubs and balls provided, plus for adults the Brabazon course.
De Vere St David's Park offers a Dai the Dove children's fun club with quizzes, discoes, workshops, magicians and puppet shows asn well as a multi-level play area and a hostess will take children on morning weekends to let parents have a lie-in.
De Vere Slaley hall operates an outdoor activity centre with paintballing, clay pigeon
shooting, fishing, archery, quad biking and mini or junior quads provided for children.
The De Vere Bellhouse offers Legoland breaks including free children's tickets; the De Vere The Grand Brighton offers complimentary tickets to local attractions like the Sealife Centre and Royal Pavilion, plus in room facilities including Sony PlayStation.
Others may variously offer a play area and/or cr?che.
Village hotels are particularly informal so suitable and they offer children's menus, play and creche facilities and two children under 14 stay free when sharing with parents.
De Vere hotels also offer children's menus or informal dining options and some offer play and cr?che facilities and Cammie Bear children's clubs.
Family rooms are available and there are discounts of up to 50% for children in their own room.
Children can be looked after while parents use the leisure clubs and there is baby monitoring during for example evening meals.

Sample Price

High season midweek two nights dinner b&b would be £120 per person at Cameron House. The Village Hotel prices are from £25 per person per night.

Child Prices

Children to 4 years stay free when sharing with parents, meals free, 5-14 years accommodation shared is £25 per child b&b sharing with parents, other meals charged as taken. Children in their own room is 75% of the adult rate. On family breaks there are discounted rates for attractions like Drayton Manor Park, Cadbury World and Chester Zoo.
