Based at two Broads boat yards.

For children provides an activitiy book with puzzles, I-spy, maps, and colouring pages for £2.50. Highlights the area as particularly suitable for families in summer with a selection of events like puppet shows, story telling sessions and wildlife walks, plus for example ineractive centres like the one at Ranworth Broad highlighting the history of the waterways and conservation efforts.

Short breaks are also available.

Type of Vessels

Fibre glass cruisers, some with sliding canopy and some with a hydroflow hull to minimise damage to the waterways, with a range of steering positions, and yachts. New boats for 2002 include two with eight berths.

Equipment

All bedding but no towels, full galley, central heating and shower, TVs and radio cassettes provided. Can hire a rowing or sailing dinghy at £32 or £42 per week for children to learn on. Bikes are available, including for kids.

Safety

Jackets available for all shapes and sizes (including dogs).

Organises an optional confidence-boosting training course teaching safety, boat handling, collision avoidance, engine care, dealing with bridges and tunnels, and care of the environment, £70.50 per boat for half day or £117.50 for a full day which can lead to a RYA Inland Waters Helmsman's certificate. If a sailing boat is booked you can also book an RYA instructor to teach all on board the finer points of sailing on board.

Sample Price

Four-berth boat prices in peak summer season 2002 begin at £652 per week for a boat with one double and two single cabins.
