Most are rural, around a third modern, some distinctly more elegant than others. Around 10 have access to a pool. LinenAround 60% of properties include bed linen and around 20% towels as well. At most but not all of the remainder they can be hire. Towel hire charges are £3 per person per week, bed linen £5 for a double bed, £4 for a single. HeatingCentral heating costs from £10 to £35 per week extra, payable direct to the owner. FacilitiesAround 10% of properties offer a cot. There is no cot linen. At three or four properties babysitting may be available. ExtrasVary widely but include a farm which will take ponies by arrangement, advance food orders, and those offering farm food for sale. Sample PriceAt a three-star property on a farm in Devon sleeping six would be around £365 per week in high season.
