An independent adventure travel specialist offering a number of options for families. There are overland tours to 62 countries around the world with trips ranging from one to 47 weeks. The latest aim is for 80 per cent of the itineraries to visit community projects.

What and Where

In addition to safari holidays in Africa (see Safaris) there's a 14-night Peru Family Adventure which travels from Lima to Cuzco. This includes horse treks, mountain bike rides and white-water rafting, plus the chance to visit numerous Inca ruins, the Andes mountains and Indian villages and markets. The high point of the holiday is a trip to Machu Picchu either by train or on the two-day mini Inca Trail. Accommodation ranges from camping through mountain hostels to four-star hotels, where possible with swimming-pools. Alternatives include a fourteen-night Moroccan Family Adventure which tours much of the country, starting and finishing in Marrakech. There are also options in Namibia, Botswana and East Africa.
