Specialist Reports Activity Holidays Adventure Holidays The Imaginative Traveller
Imaginative Traveller believes that children and adventure travel DO go together. They operate thirteen different trips for families in Thailand, Vietnam, Jordan, Egypt, Tanzania, Malaysia, Nepal, India, Turkey, and China. All are group tours with a minimum group size of four. What and WhereItineraries are between eleven and fifteen days with at least two and sometimes three nights at each stop. Accommodation is largely two to three-star hotels with en suite bathrooms - most have a swimming-pool for lunchtime or evening use and family rooms where possible. Travel is by donkey, camel, boat, or on foot (to tire them out). Extra activities might include puppet shows in Vietnam, plus a trip to Halong Bay, or in Jordan and Egypt snorkelling in the Red Sea, jeep safaris, donkey rides and camping with the Bedouin.
Minimum Age6 years. The main programme includes options suitable for those of 16+. Sample PriceAll tours have year-round prices (ie it's not more expensive to go during the school holidays). The eleven-day Tigers & the Taj tour costs £535 (plus local payment) for both adults and children, excluding international flights. The Ecuador Journey to the Centre of the Earth is £799 per person plus a local payment of US$200. |
