Reports that having been operating since 1979 and reports is now getting customers who first visited as parents, now returning as grand parents (Catherine Secker is herself a grandmother.). Both she and her husband were stewards at sea for many years and understand service and quality issues. Emphasises that local beaches are very safe and sandy and local people welcome children. Although small is a member of AITO.

Where

Crete.

Style

Just a handful (13) of quality villas on the Akrotiri peninsula in the northwest of the island (modern but attractively furnished and with pleasant gardens) which come warmly recommended. Requests that you bring nothing but beach towels. The area is grape and melon-growing and the locals are farmers and there are not too many tourists. There are three beaches which are reported safe and sandy, a diving school on one beach, horse riding in Chorafakia, plus local tavernas where children are made extremely welcome. Chania offers good but safe nightlife for teens. Only the four one-bedroom villas, designed for privacy, are not recommended for children.

Season

End March to end October.

Facilities

Provides a toybox for babies plus cots, high chairs and even complementary Pampers. Babysitting can be arranged.

Extras

On request. For example provides cakes for birthdays and anniversaries.

Sample Price

In a two-bedroomed villa £585 per person with small discount for children, including flight, being met at the airport, taken at the airport and taken back to the airport at the end of the holiday. Hire car is recommended.
