A Swiss company originally, now renting around 20,000 properties based on local operations such as Solemar in Italy. All properties are privately owned. All properties are privately owned. In addition to the traditional brochures a CD-ROM features all 20,000 properties including full descriptions and prices.

Where

France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary and Florida. The French programme is probably the largest with a wide range of locations and styles of property. The Italian one is also fairly large covering most of the country and offering some of the operator's most attractive properties, with a higher than average number offering a pool.

Style

Varying widely from fairly basic up to luxurious, facilities depending on destination but say around a quarter of properties in Italy with a pool. Most are the equivalent of three-star standard, though the range is from five-star to budget. The majority sleep no more than six. There is a good selection of properties in ski resorts.
There may be a charge for linen (at around half the properties) and sometimes a charge for electricity, water and gas.

Season

Year-round. Heating may be charged extra at some destinations such as Italy.

Facilities

Cots are reported available at most properties, sometimes at a charge.

Extras

None.

Sample Price

£585 high season per week for a 2-bedroom property for four in a farmhouse in Tuscany, with use of swimming pool and garden with table tennis and BBQ. The company can organise ferry crossings or clients can book these independently.
