Recommendations

Runs around one overseas trip per year with an informal minimum age of four years. In 2001 the trip is Exploring the Southern Aegean, accompanied by a biologist and an art teacher and on the islands of Kos and Nisyros at October half term. The trip involves a range of artistic and scientific perspectives to enable children and parents to explore the natural phenomena of the ara. Projects are planned with children in mind but should be enjoyed by all. Some will be specific to the Aegean or the Mediterranean while others are concerned with general principles such as dispersal of fruits and seeds. On Nisyros the course concentrates on the active volcano and its impact on the region. The sea will still be warm enough for swimming and there will also be snorkelling. Accommodation is in apartments on Kos with supper in tavernas and half board at a small family-run hotel on Nisyros.

Sample Price

£940 for adults, £470 for under 14s full board including wine with meals and soft drinks for children at all times.
